FRAME ANALYSIS FOR BREAST AUGMENTATION

Dr. Pavese seeks to completely analyze the patient’s frame to choose the breast implant dimensions that are most appropriate for breast augmentation.

Our analysis includes chest circumference, chest asymmetry, and nipple and fold position. Breast characteristics include base width, tissue thickness and skin looseness. Each of these must be addressed and considered together for choosing the best breast implant size. Each breast and each patient are unique.

We review history of pregnancies, nursing, weight gain, weight loss, and hormone use, if any. All of these factors are considered when choosing breast implants for breast augmentation.

Our analysis goes over the degree of size increase that the patient desires. Most importantly, we discuss the feasibility of achieving the patient’s goals in view of the frame characteristics. That way, our patient’s expectations can be discussed considering all of these factors including frame measurements. We photograph the patients with a 3 –D imaging camera and we use this image to discuss appropriate implant size. The patient can choose the size that they desire within the parameters of the frame dimensions. Breast augmentation is both a science and an art. All of the factors are considered and discussed when selecting the correct breast implant size to meet the patient’s goals and expectations. The process of frame analysis for breast augmentation is performed in a comfortable setting in order that the patient feels at ease during the breast augmentation consultation.
